The Kingdom of The Grey Havens is a large, safe nation, renowned for its infamous sell-swords, punitive income tax rates, and suspicion of poets. The cynical, devout population of 68 million Grey Havensians are ruled with an iron fist by the dictatorship government, which ensures that no-one outside the party gets too rich. In their personal lives, however, citizens are relatively unoppressed; it remains to be seen whether this is because the government genuinely cares about its people, or if it hasn't gotten around to stamping out civil rights yet.

The large, socially-minded government juggles the competing demands of Spirituality, Education, and Law & Order. The average income tax rate is 57.1%, and even higher for the wealthy.

The sizeable but underdeveloped Grey Havensian economy, worth 2.11 trillion coins a year, is led by the Tourism industry, with major contributions from Retail, Beef-Based Agriculture, and Automobile Manufacturing. State-owned companies are common. Average income is 31,012 coins, and distributed extremely evenly, with little difference between the richest and poorest citizens.

A government program is underway to revitalize The Grey Havens's beaches, female newsreaders distract the nation by breastfeeding during broadcast, more money is spent on policing the welfare system for abuse than on the welfare system itself, and serial commas clarify the relationship between one's lackeys, the taxpayers, and kinsfolk. Crime, especially youth-related, is totally unknown, thanks to a well-funded police force and progressive social policies in education and welfare. The Grey Havens's national animal is the seagull, which soars majestically through the nation's famously clear skies.

The Grey Havens is ranked 88,653rd in the world and 54th in Middle Earth for Most Advanced Public Transport, scoring 886.42 on the Societal Mobility Rating.
