Faroe Islands declares independence

The recent conflicts over the small islands of the North Sea have had a steady toll on the Faroe Islands.

Swadenian occupation has lead to a brutal crackdown on any supporters of the Keepo Republic, and constant public protest.

These demonstrations were suppressed by Swadenian Military Police, and only further angered the Faroe people.

Today, with support from Blanjiland, the Faroe Islands has declared independence from the Keepo Republic and demanded Swaden withdraw their occupation force immediately.

Henrike Oddmund, while angered by the newfound state, has reckognized the Faroe Islandís independence and has ordered Swadenian MPs to prepare to leave the island.

However, independence will not be easy. The Keepo Republic has declared war on the Faroe Islands, and has besieged the new confederation.
