Rank Description:
Oath of the Legion

New recruits must take the oath binding them to the service of the Emperor and the Imperial Legion:
"Upon my honor I do swear undying loyalty to The Emperor of Tamriel, and unwavering obedience to the officers of his great Empire.
May those above judge me, and those below take me, if I fail in my duty.
Long live the Emperor! Long live the Empire!"

Rank and Structure of Command
All orders are to be followed when given by a higher rank.

The Emperor of Tamriel - The Emperor, is the founder. He is the Commander-In-Chief of the Imperial Legion, making his word law. He advises the Supreme Commander more than directing the Legion, but if the Emperor gives a direct order, then it is to be executed by the Legion on command. The Emperor always has the final say over the use of the Imperial Legion.

General - The General is the highest ranking military official in the Empire. He takes all orders from the Emperor himself. His authority supersedes all other lower officials and he has full operational control of the Imperial Legion.

Legate - Legates can have an infinite number of Auxiliaries under his command. Each Legate must track the successes and failures of his Tribunes in their campaign exercises. Legates are selected by the Emperor and a General. Generally, legions will conduct campaigns by order of their Tribune without needing their Legate's permission; however, the Legate can choose to micromanage and order his Tribunes to invade specific regions at any time's notice. The Legate also has the power to have two or more of his legions invade larger regions where one legion's numbers wouldn't be enough. During these times when two or more legions are used, the Legate would be the lead (Lead is the nation that is to become World Assembly Delegate in a target region) in the invasion. The Legate could also, at any time, decide to join one of his legions in a raid. During this time, the Legate would be the lead in a campaign instead of his Tribune. Of course, the Legate could also choose not to lead and instead designate a lead for a campaign.

Tribune - The leader of one legion under the command of a Legate. Each legion is composed of ten individuals not including the Tribune himself. The duties of a Tribune is to lead each campaign conducted by his legion and recruit/maintain his legion to ensure it stays at ten Auxiliaries. A Tribune is not required to have permission from his Legate or Emperor to conduct a campaign but they must inform high ranks before doing so. During campaigns, the Tribune is the lead. The Tribune is also able to allow his Praefect to "lead" a campaign if he so sees fit. Unless specifically ordered by a higher ranking official for a specific military exercise, the conduct of his legion is up to him. The Tribune is only required to inform his Legate of a target and planned invasion date of his target. Tribunes can be demoted by his Legate for constant failed campaigns or promoted, via exemplary actions, to Legate by the Emperor with the recommendation of his Legate.

Praefect - One of the ten Auxiliaries selected by his Tribune to assist with duties. The Praefect is the Tribune's right hand man and assists the Tribune. Can be selected to assist in all duties or none. The delegation of duties from his Tribune is up to the Tribune himself. Praefects can be promoted by his Legate to Tribune with the recommendation of his Tribune.

Quaestor - This rank is basically that of Auxiliaries. The only difference is that Quaestors are promoted based on veteran status and is promoted for there ready to the call for duty in times of need for the Empire.

Auxiliaries - The rank and file of the legion. Completely subordinate to their Tribune and the Tribune's superiors. Each Legion will compose of ten Auxiliaries with one selected as a Praefect.
