The United Kingdom of the Brytish Isles, commonly known as the United Kingdom (UK) or Brytain, is a constitutional monarchy located off the northwestern coast of Europe. Encompassing the entirety of the Brytish Isles, the United Kingdom is surrounded by the Atlantic Ocean, with the North Sea and English Channel separating the isles from the European mainland. As of 2019, Brytain is home to an estimated 70.37 million people. The United Kingdom is comprised of four nations: England, Scotland, Wales and Ireland, with the country’s capital being London.

The United Kingdom was formed following the Acts of Union 1800, which united the kingdoms of Great Brytain and Ireland into a single state. Shortly after the end of the First Great War, the Government of Ireland Act 1918 was passed, which delivered Home Rule to Ireland. Later reforms regarding Ireland’s place in the union and the treatment of Irish Catholics by the largely Anglican Brytish Parliament began a decades-long period of reconciliation between Westminster and the Irish people, followed by further reconciliation with the other Celtic nations within the UK. In the modern day, the situation in Ireland has largely cooled and Anglo-Irish relations are mending, and the Irish have managed to place their trust in Westminster for the first time in centuries.

The United Kingdom is one of the world's primary powers. Despite the loss of its empire, London remains an important and powerful entity within global politics and economics. Though often overshadowed by the United States of America, the United Kingdom has been highly active throughout Africa, the Middle East and Southeast Asia in the fight against terrorism and in defence of its geopolitical, economic interests. Since 2017, the United Kingdom has been governed by the United Albion Brotherhood, a social nationalist political party, which has overseen the reigniting of Brytain’s military might and beginnings of complete social redevelopment.
