The Kingdom of The Alani is a massive, environmentally stunning nation, ruled by Batraz with an iron fist, and renowned for its avowedly heterosexual populace, irreverence towards religion, and complete lack of public education. The hard-nosed, hard-working, cynical, humorless population of 2.231 billion Alans are kept under strict control by the oppressive government, which measures its success by the nation's GDP and refers to individual citizens as "human resources."

The relatively small, corrupt, well-organized government is effectively ruled by the Department of Defense, with Industry and Environment also on the agenda, while Social Policy and Welfare aren't funded at all. It meets to discuss matters of state in the capital city of Maghas. Citizens pay a flat income tax of 6.5%.

The all-consuming Alanian economy, worth 249 trillion denariis a year, is broadly diversified and led by the Retail industry, with major contributions from Arms Manufacturing, Beef-Based Agriculture, and Door-to-door Insurance Sales. Black market activity is extensive. Average income is an impressive 112,025 denariis, but there is an enormous disparity between incomes, with the richest 10% of citizens earning 643,858 per year while the poor average 9,363, a ratio of 68.8 to 1.

Children who display even minimal sporting aptitude are immediately assigned a personal trainer, the nanny industry has had a boom after maternity leave was recently banned, Calvinball training often involves digging escape tunnels, and farmers' market days almost always end in a shooting. Crime is pervasive, with the police force struggling against a lack of funding and a high mortality rate. The Alani's national animal is the Alaunt, which frolics freely in the nation's many lush forests.

The Alani is ranked 138,760th in the world and 3rd in B71 for Most World Assembly Endorsements, with zero valid endorsements.
