The Great Kingdom of Thakia, commonly known as Thakia, is a semi-constitutional monarchy located in the world of Terra Nova. Thakia includes the island of Sycra, and many smaller islands. The Kingdom was formed from the dissolution of the Thakia Empire in 1856(a.n). This state is a direct successor to the Empire. Thakia covers 7,426 million square kilometres (on the main island alone) and has an estimated population of 864 million with 80% of the population living on the main island and 20% scattered throughout the other territories of the kingdom. The country consists of 13 Regions and 4 territories. It is an island, and does not share borders with any nation.

The Kingdom of Thakia is a world power in Terra Nova, Is a founding member of The Southern pact of Nations, and posses the strongest naval force of the world.

The name of Thakia comes from the Greek word Tha (Will) and the word Kia from early sacrystum that means (Land).
The Name means "The Land of The Willful".

The standard way to refer to a citizen of Thakia is as a "Thakian".

The Thakian coat of arms depicts the traditional arms of Novgyrod (the golden sun in a dark blue field) quartered with the arms of Silveria (the white lion in a black field). It is topped with a royal crown.

The Thakian flag often called "The Solar Banner" is a flag consisting of three-colour stripes (Blue, Red and Black) and the national symbol of Thakia accompanied by an Olive branch in the upper left corner.

The Blue Stripe represents the sky, blue is not only a colour used by the ruling Anthaios dynasty but it also serves as a symbol of heaven and holines. The blue stripe is slightly larger than the other two to symbolize the rule of heaven (through the Anthaios dynasty) over the two kingdoms that make up Thakia.

The Red Stripe symbolizes both struggle (as red is the colour of blood) and the Kingdom of Novgyrod that was united with the Kingdom of Silveria to form Thakia and used a red flag with a golden sun.

The Black Stripe represents both determination and The Kingdom of Silveria that was united with the Kingdom of Novgyrod to from Thakia and used a black flag with a white lion.

The national symbol of Thakia can be found in the upper hoist-side, The symbol is composed of a sun that represents the royal dynasty of Thakia (as the sun is used in most of their heraldry) and an olive branch that represent peace, It has been said that the entire symbol represents the cooperation of the Thakian people under the monarchy.

The first record of a "Thakian" state was the Kingdom of Novgyrod, This kingdom was formed by a mage named Valsnik I, This man united the northern tribes of Thakia under his banner and defeated the invasions of the first Trymian empire (former predecessor of the current state of Trymia)

The Thakian Empire was created when the kingdom of Novgyrod and the kingdom of Silveria were united under King Sarvican IV of Novgyrod "The Great" in 1743. The new Empire began to expand its influence to nearby islands and create a strong economy, this led to economic rivalries with Shorya that would result in the War of 10 years between Thakia and Shorya, In 1813 the war ended with a white peace that did not favour any nation. This created a feeling of hatred towards the government and the monarchy, which intensified in the Thakian civil war that lasted from 1843 to 1847 and ended with a loyalist victory, after the victory in the civil war, The Emperor Antimonos I wrote the Letter of Renunciation in which he renounced many royal rights and transformed Thakia from an Empire to a Kingdom. Antimonious I "The Sad" died in 1856 without finishing his final reform, a book called "The Codex" that was destined to restructure the whole of Thakia's Politics, His son Phoenidas IV "The Wise" took the throne and carried out a series of transformations in the economy and the armed forces that result in a modernized navy and a mixed approach to the economy. The Codex of Thakia was finished during his reign, and also during the reign of Phoenidas IV some social problems began to develop in Thakia and at the time of his death in 1961 these problems were evident. In 1961 King Tradominas I took the throne and started a process of Isolation from the rest of the world in an attempt to stop this instability that he blamed on foreign influence. This process ended with his sudden death in 1998 and the ascension of Antimonious II to the throne.

Thakian culture is composed of the Russian, Spanish and Greek cultures that came from the early settlers, tradition is highly respected in Thakia. Holidays, the most important of them being the fest of spirits, are keenly celebrated.

- Food

In Thakia, one of the most important elements of the culture is the wine. Everyone over the age of 15 can drink it. Wines in Thakia are of amazing quality but there is some special reserves that are widely considered to be superior to all others. The Styùmaysküyska Royal Reserve is the most famous wine in the country, and a single bottle costs more than one hundred Thraks.

The most famous drink of Thakia is Yukn, this is a drink that was created by the Russian settlers and is made of various fruits, spices, honey, and heavy alcohol, During the reign of King Phoenidas V, The Unvetasú family were exempt of tax paying with the condition that they must deliver three annual bottles to the king.

- Music

The Thakian musical scene was defined one his early days by its religious chants and migthy orchestras but such things withered away from popular Thakian culture long ago, The thakian musical revolution started right after the end of the Thakian Civil War when several musical expressions were born in different socio-economical enviroments to reflect the state of the nation and its peoples, Antimonos I famously supported such expressions and in one of his last acts as Emperor, He opened the National Auditorium of Novgyrod.

In the modern day the musical scene has changed its focus from the now called "academic music" to "popular music", 2000s (a.n) Thakian music is marked by musical expressions based on the dance with constant rythm, This musical expression started fairly recently after the death of Tradominas I and the liberalization that came to Thakian politics and society after his death, Discoteques have quickly become important parts of thakian social life.

The monarchs of Thakia belong to the House of Anthaios, the word Anthaios in sacrystum means "Protectors".

The history of the Anthaios Dynasty begins in the year 200(a.n), when the 1st Trymian Empire decided to expand southwards to the island they called "Sycra", they were stopped on their way by a confederation of local tribes led by Valsnik I, this man would become the first king of Novgyrod (Thakia's predecessor), Valsnik I defeated the armies of Trymia using a combination of smart tactics and magic that would give him the name "Anthai" or Protector, he was not native to the lands, in fact he was born and trained in the lands of Ystica, he used his magical powers to link himself and his blood who would rule that land with a precious stone, This gem is known as "The Heart of Thakia" or "The Heart" and is one of the most powerful artefacts in the known world, The heart contains a pocket dimension where the soul of every king of Novgyrod and Thakia is stored, These souls can communicate with the ruling king of Thakia, and as tradition marks every Anthaios who wants to become king of Thakia needs to pass the test of the Heart, This test consists in using the heart for the first time, then the spirits of the kings will test the candidate for king, if he is not worthy he will die instantly, but if he is worthy he will have the strength and the wisdom shared by all the kings who have come before him, and he can even call upon the spirits to give him advice.

The Letavid River is the most important river in Thakia and flows through the Eltrymhian range to various parts of northern Thakia including Novgyrod.

The Thakian climate is humid with generally low temperatures with antartic influences in the southern coast, The northern temperatures are warmer thanks to the mountain ranges blocking part if the antartic airmasses, The country also experiences numerous precipitations inland wich makes the region suitable for large-scale agriculture.

Northern Thakia is composed of mountainous terrain and forests that are separated from Southern Thakia by the Eltrymhian mountain range and deep forests, The Southern part is divided in two with the more inland areas beign grassland and the more coastal areas beign extremely cold with a subantartic climate.

- Promethist Christianity

The dominant form of Christianity in the continental southeast and the Ultramarine lands, Promethist Christianity is a branch of Christianity split from traditional christian beliefs as a result of those beliefs mixing in with early polytheist beliefs on Terra Nova, Promethist christianity believes that God only interfered majorly on earth twice- once to create it and once to cause the flood, and that is no longer interested in any form of intervention in the affairs of humanity and that instead he left the protection of humanity to his angels.

The Archangels are superior among the angels and are every one of them represents a part of the allmighty god that watches over an specific aspect of the world, They are:

Gabriel: Archangel of humanity, preservation, hope and authority.

Michael: Archangel of war, order and conquest.

Raphael: Archangel of wealth, culture, health and love.

Uriel: Archangel of honor, knowledge, glory.

Raguel: Archangel of justice, rulership and harmony.

Sariel: Archangel of punishment, time and change.

Remiel: Archangel of death, the moon, shadows and mercy.

Promethism doesnt hold Mary in any higher esteem than the other saints and do not believe in infant baptism as they hold the view that people have to be able to knowingly accept and understand the faith to be baptised.

The Church is commanded by the Bishop of Etyos (Also known as the pope). He is the bridgehead between the cosmic and terrestrial planes and dictates edicts on occasion. When declaring edicts, the Pope is advised by the Council of Cardinals, a high council of one hundred cardinals. Each cardinal serves as the administrator of an archbishopry of ten members that are appointed to administrate the region's temples and other religious institutions.

Promethist churches arent a common sight because the religion emphasizes introspection and spiritual closeness with God and shuns materialism.

The Church adopted the pantheist view of god and doesnt believe that Jesus Christ was an equal to god.

The Thakian Codex
The Codex of Thakia is the supreme law under which the government of the Kingdom of Thakia operates, including its relationship to the States of Thakia. The Codex was approved in a series of referendums held over 1898-1902 by the Chamber of Councilors, and the approved draft was adopted on 14 January 1902 by King Phoenidas IV.

The current role of the King is to act as the head of state and commander-in-chief of the Armed Forces. However, executive authority and making decisions on the use of the armed forces are de facto vested in the High Minister and Minister of Defense. The Emperor also represents an authority figure of Thakia, appearing at important ceremonial functions, often considered representing Thakia as a whole during these times, The title of King is transferred via the "Test of the Heart" and is held by the House of Anthaios. Antimonos II is the current King.

High Minister
The High Minister of Thakia, referred to constitutionally as the High Minister of the Kingdom, is the head of government of Thakia. The individual who holds the office becomes the head of the High Council, the leader of the Cabinet and the chairperson of the National Security Council. The office is the most powerful congressional position in Thakia. The High Minister is appointed by the people from a selection of candidates chosen by the king.

Most of the High Minister's powers derive from being head of government. All decisions made by the High Minister and Cabinet require the support of the High Council, but as the High Minister is himself a member of the High Council, the High Council's assent to government decisions is in practice largely a formality. The powers of the King to grant Royal Assent to legislation, to dissolve and prorogue Councils, to call elections and to make ministerial appointments are exercised on the advice of the High Minister. The High Minister also nominates all leaders of the civil service, such as Secretaries of the Ministries, but these nominations also require the approval of both the High and Lower Council.

The Council
The Legislative branch of Thakia is represented by the Council from where the Executive branch power derives. The Council is divided into two chambers: the High Council (Noble Aristocracy) and the Low Council (Commons) and several charges within this Council are attainable through democratic elections in which several Political Parties are involved.
