After being down with the sickness, singing didn't feel the same.
Since that time, Flemming had basically given up on music.
He worked a stable 9-5 job in the city and owned a beachfront house in Falmoeth Shores.
He enjoyed having drinks on the weekend with his buddies, and had adopted a cat
from a local shelter.

But something was stirring in him. One night, out on the town
at a local bar, he'd had a few to many Golden Cross Lager's,
when he was dared him to get on the mic....

Conrad Flemming gripped the mic, with all the confidence of the liquor.
the song began, one he knew well....
he figured he'd be god-awful..... but who cares right? it's karaoke....

then, out a sweet honey golden voice...
He couldn't believe it..... His voice was back to
...well, maybe better than ....normal?!
as the song continued, he began to lean into it more,
and layed it on, thick and airy for the crowd.

The crowd was eating it up!
They were pawns in his hand, and he was the King...

Shortly after that, Conrad received word that Syrche would possibly be attending Worldvision again,
and phoned One Corporation to express his interest. The newly appointed Rici Sentasi III, who seems
to be a bit extra.... most of the time... was overjoyed to have such a notable name thrown into the
ring.

-The Performance-

Following PAYLUNIKKA's performance,
The Ident Appears

The lights go full dark
The Tune begins abruptly, with the isolated pre-recorded chorus vocals
filtered beyond recognition, accompanied only by the kick drum
and basic piano chords, slowly building in volume.

As the first verse begins, the beat drops in, and a spotlight brightens up the center of the stage
revealing Conrad Flemming dressed as pictured with a bowler hat and slick black shoes, a thin black tie and button up
white cotton shirt under a black suit jacket.
After the first line, ambient lights are gradually added
bathing the stage in a warm golden aura.

Conrad stands back from the microphone, with his right shoulder raised,
and his head tilted back slightly, and his right foot pointed down.
As he sings the interrogative lines, his facial expressions move from
demure, to confusion and concern, and his head bobs around slightly,
as he carries out the song.
At the end of the second verse, he begins to lean in toward the audience.

Throw your cards in
Are you all in
Can you bet your aces play
Same as yesterday, or does luck change?

(you) Look nervous, on the surface
Let me impart you something more
a point purported you may have ignored...

The LCD Monitors overhead are lit up with images of current events
from the Solavikk War, to the fires in Outer Canada,
Pestilence and Famine in Afraqistan

The ambiant lighting begins to filter down, creating a more
intimate atmosphere, with Conrad crooning to the audience.
the lighting will reduce gradually until as the second verse completes,
ALL OF THE LIGHTS including the overhead video screens and spotlight are completely dark.

Conrad's concerned looks morph into cynical head wringing, as he
becomes a barely visible silhouette.

Oh, No I
I won't fake you with a fable
the world is still unstable
as ever implied

we're just players on the stage
words upon the page
that we dare recite

As the Chorus breaks in, the lights go to full power, revealing six backup dancers,
standing stationary at the back of the stage. Three average height blond men
wearing black and gray blazers and three tall blond women in gray and black
pants suits.

The backup dancers begin moving robotically toward Conrad through the first
half of the chorus.

As Conrad starts to sing the chorus, he does a quarter turn, bobs his head,
andwinks at the audience.
In contrast to the backup dancers, Conrad bobs his head back and forth,
struts across the stage, and gyrates his hips.

He continues to move like this through the second half of the chorus,
during which the backup dancers
(now paired as two females to the left, two males to the right,
and a male female pair standing behind Conrad)
each turned to their partner, lock hands, and pull toward each other,
staring into each others eyes. Then the leads twirl the partner around,
and they return to their start position, hidden at the back of the stage
as the lights go back to NOTHING.

We Might
Be cars on a cable on a dark night
Fixed in our path so even despite;
We're well on our way to never find the light

Be trained in a trance somewhere we lost sight
Caught in a dance, the neverending fight
Well on our way to never find the light

The overhead video screens light up again, with the image of a
sleek, modern looking building.
Inside, an evil corporate figurehead with a giant mustache smokes a cigar.
while sitting on a huge pile of money bags.
before him is a map of world oil reserves.

Men of high stance
in finance
rollin out the dough they've piled
watching as the world before them burns

cut to images of smoke stacks spewing black smoke into the sky.
A woman walks past, wheezes, coughs, hacks, falls to the ground.

its some kind of mindless
world that makes the money go round
the chaser of the tails that wag the dog

The Screen cuts blank, and the lighting begins to rise again.
The woman from the video is wheeled in from backstage on a stretcher,
almost perfectly in sync with the video.
The backup dancers, now dressed in medical garb, rush over to her
and appear to be attempting to resuscitate her, as the lights pull down again

You and I
are in a cradle to the grave
sinking souls unsaved
sit-u-a-tion

i can't deny
there's been quite the plot to play
see the storm that can't be stayed
on the-hor-i-zon

as the bridge ends, the lights are completely out, only to come back again
at full strength as the chorus begins.
one of the male backup dancers walks off stage with the gurney.
The other dancers return to their prior
station around Conrad. The dancing and lights are same as before, however,
this time, the female dancer with no partner begins to move
differently, attempting to copy Conrads moves.
she begins to advance toward him, and they briefly dance, opposing each other
before the audience with the other dancers in the background.

after the final line of the song, the two stare into each others eyes,
moving continually closer, as the outro filtered chorus plays.

We Might
