The Dictatorship of Surica is a massive, orderly nation, ruled by Leader with an iron fist, and remarkable for its frequent executions, smutty television, and free-roaming dinosaurs. The hard-nosed, hard-working, cynical, humorless, devout population of 3.966 billion Suricans are ruled by a mostly-benevolent dictator, who grants the populace the freedom to live their own lives but watches carefully for anyone to slip up.

The large, corrupt, well-organized government juggles the competing demands of Education, Industry, and Healthcare. It meets to discuss matters of state in the capital city of Surica City. The average income tax rate is 68.7%.

The frighteningly efficient Surican economy, worth 472 trillion Doges a year, is driven entirely by a combination of government and state-owned industry, with private enterprise illegal. However, for those in the know, there is an enormous, deeply entrenched, quite specialized black market in Arms Manufacturing, Uranium Mining, Gambling, and Cheese Exports. The private sector mostly consists of enterprising ten-year-olds selling lemonade on the sidewalk, but the government is looking at stamping this out. Average income is an impressive 119,088 Doges, and evenly distributed, with the richest citizens earning only 3.9 times as much as the poorest.

Blind dates reemerge as a necessary evil in the quest for love, an increasing number of citizens believe the world is flat, pre-schoolers who draw stick figures of their favorite celebrities are sued for infringing image rights, and courses in how to boil water are popular for formerly microwave-reliant Suricans. Crime, especially youth-related, is totally unknown. Surica's national animal is the kittens, which teeters on the brink of extinction due to widespread deforestation.

Surica is ranked 2,019th in the world and 48th in the Rejected Realms for Largest Mining Sector, scoring 16,755.04 on the Blue Sky Asbestos Index.
