The Federation of Srirajni is a huge, genial nation, notable for its compulsory military service, irreverence towards religion, and stringent health and safety legislation. The compassionate, cynical population of 276 million Srirajnians are ruled with an iron fist by the dictatorship government, which ensures that no-one outside the party gets too rich. In their personal lives, however, citizens are relatively unoppressed; it remains to be seen whether this is because the government genuinely cares about its people, or if it hasn't gotten around to stamping out civil rights yet.

The enormous, socially-minded, well-organized government juggles the competing demands of Education, Welfare, and Healthcare. The average income tax rate is 71.9%, and even higher for the wealthy.

The sizeable but underdeveloped Srirajnian economy, worth 10.6 trillion Rupias a year, is driven entirely by a combination of government and state-owned industry, with private enterprise illegal. The industrial sector, which is quite specialized, is mostly made up of the Trout Farming industry, with significant contributions from Tourism and Door-to-door Insurance Sales. Average income is 38,305 Rupias, and distributed extremely evenly, with practically no difference between the richest and poorest citizens.

The military recognizes no difference between male and female soldiers, thieves find battery shops juicier targets than banks, a weakened police force struggles to maintain law and order, and old folks reminisce about the last time someone was acquitted of a crime. Crime, especially youth-related, is totally unknown, thanks to a well-funded police force and progressive social policies in education and welfare. Srirajni's national animal is the Lion, which frolics freely in the nation's many lush forests.

Srirajni is ranked 65,851st in the world and 559th in The Communist Bloc for Most Cultured, scoring 68 on the Snufflebottom-Wiggendum Pentatonic Scale.
