The Holy Land of Slobodovia is a massive, orderly nation, ruled by Slobodovan III with an iron fist, and notable for its prohibition of alcohol, zero percent divorce rate, and punitive income tax rates. The hard-nosed, cynical, humorless, devout population of 1.849 billion Slobodovians are kept under strict control by the oppressive government, which measures its success by the nation's GDP and refers to individual citizens as "human resources."

The large, corrupt, moralistic, well-organized government juggles the competing demands of Defense, Law & Order, and Education. It meets to discuss matters of state in the capital city of Beogradia. Citizens pay a flat income tax of 90.1%.

The frighteningly efficient Slobodovian economy, worth 315 trillion Bilars a year, is broadly diversified and led by the Information Technology industry, with major contributions from Arms Manufacturing, Trout Farming, and Beef-Based Agriculture. Black market activity is frequent. Average income is an impressive 170,898 Bilars, but there is a significant disparity between incomes, with the richest 10% of citizens earning 603,859 per year while the poor average 34,954, a ratio of 17.3 to 1.

The law says it's okay to sell a bomb to a terrorist so long as they promise not to detonate it, excited shovel-bearing geeks wander the countryside, children who can't memorize their multiplication tables are sent to the mines, and politicians can be condescending (which by the way means "showing an attitude of patronising superiority"). Crime, especially youth-related, is totally unknown, thanks to a very well-funded police force and progressive social policies in education and welfare. Slobodovia's national animal is the Crow, which is also the nation's favorite main course, and its national religion is Orthodox Christianity.

Slobodovia is ranked 172,030th in the world and 187th in 21st Century Rome for Most Politically Free, scoring 4 on the Diebold Election Inking Scale.
