The Federal Republic of Shehraka is a large, socially progressive nation, notable for its irreverence towards religion, absence of drug laws, and stringent health and safety legislation. The compassionate, democratic population of 68 million Shehrakans are free to do what they want with their own bodies, and vote for whomever they like in elections; if they go into business, however, they are regulated to within an inch of their lives.

The medium-sized, liberal, socially-minded, outspoken government juggles the competing demands of Welfare, Education, and Healthcare. The average income tax rate is 31.4%, but much higher for the wealthy.

The sizeable but sluggish Shehrakan economy, worth 1.41 trillion Euros a year, is led by the Information Technology industry, with major contributions from Book Publishing, Basket Weaving, and Automobile Manufacturing. State-owned companies are common. Average income is 20,674 Euros, and distributed extremely evenly, with little difference between the richest and poorest citizens.

Surveillance cameras are banned, the nation's diplomats shake hands with those whose hands are drenched in the blood of innocents, the tiger is a protected species, and meat is a luxury afforded only to the wealthy. Crime is totally unknown, thanks to a capable police force and progressive social policies in education and welfare. Shehraka's national animal is the tiger, which frolics freely in the nation's many lush forests.

Shehraka is ranked 153,458th in the world and 6,286th in the South Pacific for Highest Wealthy Incomes, with 24,013.12 Standard Monetary Units.
