Flag of Sedunn

Sedunn
_______________________________________________________________

Use: Civil, war and state flag and ensign

Proportion: 34:53

Adopted: July 12, 1853 (this version)

Design: Five equal horizontal bands, in turn dark blue (top) and white

The flag of Sedunn has five equal horizontal bands, in turn dark blue (top) and white. The flag has been in use since 484 CE in slightly different proportions and shades, sometimes with the coat of arms of that time. Today's design (exact shade of blue and proportions) was established by passing the National Symbols Law in July 12, 1853.

The flag of Sedunn is meant to represent the nation's geographical location. The two white bands represent the snowy tops of the two mountain ridges that Sedunn is located between, and Vastraenn County (an overseas territory with vast glaciers). The blue band in the middle represents the most important river, Setru, flowing through the nation, and the top/bottom bands represent the two surrounding seas: the South Pacific Sea and the Plannsevvd Sea. The colours are also traditional Sedunnic colours.
