The Commonwealth of Roegerland is a massive, socially progressive nation, ruled by Prime Minister Harold De Vries with a fair hand, and notable for its barren, inhospitable landscape, irreverence towards religion, and complete absence of social welfare. The hard-nosed, hard-working, democratic population of 2.319 billion Amerikaners are effectively ruled by a group of massive corporations, who run for political office and provide their well-off citizens with world-class goods and services. Their poorer citizens, however, are mostly starving to death while being urged to go out and get real jobs. The populace has reasonably extensive civil rights, although these are mostly aimed at allowing them to buy whatever they like.

The minute government, or what there is of one, is primarily concerned with Defense, with Law & Order, Administration, and Education also on the agenda, while Social Policy and Environment aren't funded at all. It meets to discuss matters of state in the capital city of Henryksburg. Citizens pay a flat income tax of 4.8%.

The very strong Roegerlandian economy, worth 180 trillion Orits a year, is driven almost entirely by the private sector, which is broadly diversified and led by the Arms Manufacturing industry, with major contributions from Retail, Book Publishing, and Gambling. Average income is 77,995 Orits, with the richest citizens earning 6.4 times as much as the poorest.

Collisions between bicycles and carnival floats are on the rise, a new generation of aquariumless hotels are being built under government supervision, the same 2319 social media bloggers always loudly and immediately agree with Prime Minister Harold De Vries's every word on Twitcher, and lavish state dinners in Henryksburg are the state's leading budgetary expenditure. Crime is moderate, with the police force struggling against a lack of funding and a high mortality rate. Roegerland's national animal is the Grootbok, which teeters on the brink of extinction due to widespread deforestation.

Roegerland is ranked 15,293rd in the world and 216th in the West Pacific for Most Armed, with 4.76 Weapons Per Person.
