Warnings: made-up concepts, real places. It is just for game.

The Supreme Assembly of the Central Government is the government institution that holds the Legislative Power in The Reformed Republic of Pilgrimtown.

The Pilgrimtownian Legal Code establishes the obligations and powers of this body, such as creating, approving, vetoing, repealing and reforming the Law Codes, laws and presidential decrees; to judge the President of the Government according to the Pilgrimtownian Penal Code, to appoint the reverendos of the Supreme Court of Justice, the Editors of the Printing Department of the Republic and the Official Journal of the Republic, the Governing Council of the Mint, the governor of the Pilgrimtown Bank - the central bank -, [in expansion]; approve executive plans for presidential policies, among other obligations.

~ Legislative System ~

It has a semi-unicameral system: there is only one chamber empowered to legislate, the Supreme Assembly; but there is also an auxiliary review body, the Review Board, which is autonomous from the Assembly (but isn't totally independent) and can challenge an unconstitutional legislation before the Assembly to stop the proposed law, or if approved, before the Supreme Court of Justice.

~ The legislating ministers ~

The Assembly is made up of 100 legislating ministers, representatives of the Pilgrimtownian people, elected through direct suffrage of every Pilgrimtownian male over 19 years of age. Each minister represents a town in Pilgrimtown (that's right, the country has only 100 towns, if they are founded more and exceed 100 inhabitants, new legislators are added to the Assembly). They are elected to exercise their function by a Legislature. They can be re-elected for office up to 3 times in their lives.

The requirements to be elected legislator are found in the Pilgrimtown's Legislative System Code, and are the following:

    - Have the Pilgrimtown nationality by birth and be over 35 years of age on the day of the election, or have been assigned the Pilgrimtown nationality for at least 20 years of age and be over 32 years of age on the day of the election.
    - Have lived in the town where you will be elected for at least 20 effective years.
    - Having no criminal record.
    - Have complete control of judgment and intellectual and mental faculties.
    - Not be a papist (Roman Catholic)
    - Not be part of the National Guard or any local defense corps.
    - Not be mayor of any town and not have any type of government position (reverend or judge of the Court, director, rector, governor, president or similar of any government institution), or at least have resigned from said position 6 months before election day.

~ The Legislatures ~

A Legislature is a legislative work period, which lasts three years. For each new legislature, the 100 legislating ministers elected by vote must be renewed. The legislature does not fully coincide with the presidential term to avoid political expediency and strengthen the republican system. The legislative functions begin the first Monday of the month of May st. v. (Julian calendar) and ending the third Friday of the month of May st. v. (Julian calendar).

The current legislature is The II Legislature (period 1605-1608) of the so-called "Regime of reorganization", a government regime established after the Pilgrimtownian victory over the "Foreign Catholical Intervention" (1593 - 1601), againt the Holy League.

Holds the highest office within the government by influence and recognition.Who holds the office of President of the government, is also one of the 101 ministers of the Supreme Central Government Assembly, with voice but no vote within the parliamentary session (to respect the division of powers).

The President heads the national Public Administration and is assisted by a cabinet made up of several Secretaries of State and commissioners, as well as advisors that make up the Presidency Office.
The mandate period is 5 years, starting on November 12 st. v. (Julian calendar) and ending on November 11 st. v de jure (day 12 is the ceremony of transfer of powers, de facto begins on day 13).

Through direct suffrage of every Pilgrimtownian male over 19 years of age, it is how one chooses who will occupy the presidency. There is the possibility of the re-election, but this should not be immediate to the first period.
