Alliances and Organizations
Equator Defense Treaty
Founded in 2018 by Brazil and other 23 countries, it serves as a successor of the South American Union and includes the allies of the former country. The EDT's role is to protect the military and economic interest of non-western countries, despite the presence of Portugal and Hungary as member-states. It's a military alliance, however, it also grants freedom of movement for its members.

The Eastern Union
A political, economic, and military organization founded by Russia and former soviet countries in 1981. Kazakhstan was banned from the Eastern Union after denying the transfer of northern Kazakhstan to Russia. A few weeks later, in July 2012, the Eastern Union invaded northern Kazakhstan, and the region now is under direct Russian rule. Despite being a member of the Equator Defense Treaty, Ukraine is also allied with the Eastern Union. Both organizations are politically and militarily close.
