Himno a la Patria

The Hymn to the Homeland (Spanish: Himno a la Patria), also known as Stand, My Island (Spanish: Levanta, mi isla), is the national anthem of the Panay Islands and Guimaras. It was written by Miguel Andrés Ong as a submission for a national anthem contest before the 11th anniversary of the royal independence celebrations in 1920, after he and the Guamanian anthem composer, Ramón Manalisay Sablán met each other in Iloílo City before the royal independence day festivities and the competition. Whom he permitted Ong to write the lyrics in Spanish and gave him the lyrics in English for the basis of the anthem. It was performed first in the national anthem contest, who they actually won and the national anthem is still today, the submission of the Chamorro Sablán and Ong before Guam adopted Sablán's original lyrics in 1934 until the Chamorro version was adopted in 1989 by Lágrimas Untalán in 1974, serving the Panayense lyrics as her basis for the Chamorro translation of the anthem. And nowadays, there are some translations of the national anthem ranging from Hiligaynon to other languages like Chinese, Japanese, and Korean to their respective communities.
The anthem replaces the old anthem "Marcha Real" but with different Panayense lyrics and now the anthem became the royal anthem without the Panayense lyrics, even though the royal anthem is still used by Spain as their both national and royal anthem.
