Panay Island and Guimaras used to be a two-party parliamentary system since the independence until the reformation happened in 1979 when the Spanish royal monarchy returned to their homeland and again being a nation under the Spanish dominion. This political system is inspired by Brazil, Spain, Mexico, Uruguay, Australia, New Zealand, Canada, and the United States. These are the parties since the multi-party system implemented in 1980 for the municipal elections. One of the first parties alongside their rivals, PLN, founded in 1899 when the first constitution has been implemented. Since the two-party until the multi-party nowadays, the party has been in power sometimes for some decades alongside also, their liberal counterparts.

One of the successful modern parties in the islands, the party has been in coalitions with the social-nationalists since their first election in 1988 for the municipal elections. Their first national election was in 1989, as part of the old governing coalition Union for the Islands (Unión por las Islas).

Founded in 1949 after a series of social-nationalist and liberal-nationalist infighting, the party began as a centrist party and used to be the third power of the Panayense political scene. Nowadays, they were aligning to the social-nationalists after the Cold War.

Founded in 1949 as a result of the split of the East Asian Association of Panay, the Koreans, just like the Muslims, have the voice to speak out for their interests just like their Japanese and Chinese counterparts. But both of these three will be turned into a party for the East Asian minorities and formed also the longest-serving coalition in the Parliament.

Founded in 1921 as the National Democratic Party (Partido Democrático Nacional, PDN), they were the first party to have a seat outside of the social-nationalists and liberal-nationalists, hence they were the third powerful party at that time and also called the first "third option party for the neutrals" until in 1949 when the Radical Congress Union was formed. Even though they fall out, the party is still going strong.

One of the youngest political parties of the federation, founded before the 2010 parliamentary elections where the Centrist Bloc members left the party and found their own party, which is a tribute to the old name of the Centrist Bloc, the Democratic National Party.
