The Polinfos Republic (1506 AD - 1527 AD)

The Polinfos Republic was the first recorded major constitutional republican democracy established in Ontorisa before the Confederation. The Republic was formed by a council of 12 Lords who formed together in the region of Augusta. Surrounding them were many ethnic Jefros, Sytaismo, Aujikiq, Hostivirs and Banuesya kingdoms, all of them flooding in from the North, East, South and West. The modern day province of Augusta (maybe a sliver of North-Eastern Ventas) was controlled by the Ontorisans. Divided into small warring kingdoms, the Ontorisans stood no chance against the foreigners. Occasionally, a lord would rise to power in Augusta and unite the lords and wage war, however, their work would be undone overtime, thus, the Ontorisans required a proper unified army in order to continue their expansion. For this, the Ontorisans needed to unify their different warring lords and ally with a local kingdom.
