Alexandre Louis Chevalier (born April 21st, 1977) is the current Lord Protector of Nouveau Strasbourg. He was born into a comfortable, middle class family in the nation's capital and earned a degree in Business Administration from the University of Grand Clemont. After that, he attended Grand Clemont Law School. He then worked at a prominent law firm before he got involved in politics. He first served two terms in the National Congress as the Constitutional Democratic representative from Clementy. With some experience under his belt, he ran for the office of Lord Protector and won the 2018 election. During his time in office, Nouveau Strasbourg has faced crises such as Covid-19 and the ongoing Russo-Ukrainian War.

Alexandre Chevalier was born into a middle class family in a northern neighborhood within the city of Grand Clemont on April 21st, 1977. His father worked for a prominent business while his mother stayed at home. From a young age, he excelled at school and would be accepted to the University of Grand Clemont, one of the most famous universities within Nouveau Strasbourg. While there, he studied business administration. It was during this period that he began to consider studying law after finishing his undergraduate degree.
After graduation, he would attend the law school of the prestigious University of Constantine. After finishing law school, he found employment at LeBlanc and Harrison in Grand Clemont. He primarily specialized in corporate law and ended up developing an interest in entering politics. He successfully ran to serve in the National Congress as a Constitutional Democrat, where he became known for his pragmatism and his passion for serving his constituents. Having served two terms, he ran for the position of Lord Protector in the 2018 election and won by an incredibly slim margin.
Political Views
Alexandre Chevalier is a member of the Constitutional Democratic Party, the main center-right party within Nouveau Strasbourgian politics. As such, he generally tends to hold moderate views on social issues while also holding some more fiscally conservative policies to an extent, but he is above all a pragmatist. In regard to foreign policy matters, he tends to favor more diplomatic solutions to conflicts, and that war should only be considered when no other option can be used. Under his administration, Nouveau Strasbourg maintains strong diplomatic ties with the United States and the EU, and later supported the selling of weapons and providing other humanitarian aid to Ukraine since the outbreak of war in February 2022.
Religious Views
Alexandre Chevalier is a practicing Catholic, although he is known to largely keeps his religious views to himself. Notably, he has a long history of condemning various politicians who advocate for a theocratic state due to his staunch support for preserving the separation between church and state.
In his free time, Alexandre Chevalier enjoys reading the latest works of prominent historians and writers. He also likes going out in his boat with his family. Additionally, he enjoys playing chess.
In addition to speaking French and Russian, Alexandre Chevalier also speaks fluent English and Turkish.
Alexandre Chevalier is a descendant of Constantine de Chevalier, one of the founding fathers of the Most Serene Republic.
