The United Socialist States of Northeastern Estonia is a colossal, safe nation, remarkable for its barren, inhospitable landscape, punitive income tax rates, and stringent health and safety legislation. The cynical population of 5.37 billion Northeastern Estonians are ruled with an iron fist by the dictatorship government, which ensures that no-one outside the party gets too rich. In their personal lives, however, citizens are relatively unoppressed; it remains to be seen whether this is because the government genuinely cares about its people, or if it hasn't gotten around to stamping out civil rights yet.

The enormous, socially-minded, well-organized government juggles the competing demands of Welfare, Defense, and Law & Order. The average income tax rate is 69.4%, and even higher for the wealthy.

The large but sluggish Northeastern Estonian economy, worth 161 trillion rubles a year, is driven entirely by a combination of government and state-owned industry, with private enterprise illegal. The industrial sector, which is fairly diversified, is led by the Uranium Mining industry, with major contributions from Woodchip Exports, Pizza Delivery, and Information Technology. Average income is 30,050 rubles, and distributed extremely evenly, with little difference between the richest and poorest citizens.

The country's famous rainforests are being bulldozed by the mining industry. Crime, especially youth-related, is totally unknown, thanks to a very well-funded police force and progressive social policies in education and welfare. Northeastern Estonia's national animal is the bear, which teeters on the brink of extinction due to widespread deforestation.

Northeastern Estonia is ranked 228,365th in the world and 6,798th in Suspicious for Largest Insurance Industry, scoring -6.03 on the Risk Expulsion Effectiveness Rating.
