The Republic of MegaTokyo-3 is a gargantuan, cultured nation, ruled by Leader with an even hand, and renowned for its museums and concert halls, pith helmet sales, and smutty television. The hard-nosed, humorless population of 35.059 billion Meganians enjoy extensive civil rights and enjoy a level of social equality free from the usual accompanying government corruption.

The minute government, or what there is of one, is solely concerned with Education. Income tax is unheard of.

The frighteningly efficient Meganian economy, worth an astonishing 19,445 trillion nu-yens a year, is broadly diversified and led by the Information Technology industry, with major contributions from Book Publishing, Woodchip Exports, and Automobile Manufacturing. Black market activity is rampant. State-owned companies are common. Average income is a breathtaking 554,642 nu-yens, and evenly distributed, with the richest citizens earning only 2.3 times as much as the poorest.

Cities are engulfed by smog, citizens are remarkably well involved in the political process, the nation's most "productive" diamond mine hasn't been operational for seven months, and Meganian police have to pay out of their own pockets for bulletproof vests. Crime, especially youth-related, is so common that it is unusual to encounter someone following the law, perhaps because of the country's complete lack of prisons. MegaTokyo-3's national animal is the dove, which teeters on the brink of extinction due to toxic air pollution.

MegaTokyo-3 is ranked 68th in the world and 1st in The Continent of ReC for Highest Disposable Incomes, with 554,642.51 Standard Monetary Units.
