The Empire of Lunyya is a very large, efficient nation, notable for its barren, inhospitable landscape, free-roaming dinosaurs, and irreverence towards religion. The compassionate, hard-working, democratic population of 199 million Lunyyans are effectively ruled by a group of massive corporations, who run for political office and provide their well-off citizens with world-class goods and services. Their poorer citizens, however, are mostly starving to death while being urged to go out and get real jobs. The populace has reasonably extensive civil rights, although these are mostly aimed at allowing them to buy whatever they like.

The relatively small, outspoken government juggles the competing demands of Industry, Education, and Administration. The average income tax rate is 17.4%.

The powerhouse Lunyyan economy, worth 16.5 trillion Yen a year, is broadly diversified and led by the Information Technology industry, with major contributions from Soda Sales, Automobile Manufacturing, and Woodchip Exports. Average income is 82,920 Yen, and evenly distributed, with the richest citizens earning only 3.8 times as much as the poorest.

The nation's industries are scrambling to switch to biodegradable plastics, billions are being spent on a new island airport, all mothers are allowed six months fully-paid maternity leave, and the nation has welcomed its expats back with open arms. Crime is totally unknown. Lunyya's national animal is the Cat, which teeters on the brink of extinction due to widespread deforestation.

Lunyya is ranked 61,781st in the world and 3,230th in The North Pacific for Largest Welfare Programs, scoring 1,368.18 on the Safety Net Mesh Density Rating.
