The Ethnostate of Latvijas Otra Republika is a colossal, cultured nation, ruled by Tautas tēvs with an iron fist, and remarkable for its infamous sell-swords, frequent executions, and sprawling nuclear power plants. The hard-nosed, hard-working, cynical, humorless population of 9.268 billion Latvians are kept under strict control by the oppressive government, which measures its success by the nation's GDP and refers to individual citizens as "human resources."

The medium-sized, corrupt, well-organized government juggles the competing demands of Law & Order, Defense, and Education. It meets to discuss matters of state in the capital city of Riga. Citizens pay a flat income tax of 35.6%.

The all-consuming Latvijas Otra Republikan economy, worth 947 trillion Lats a year, is fairly diversified and led by the Uranium Mining industry, with major contributions from Arms Manufacturing, Tourism, and Automobile Manufacturing. Black market activity is notable. State-owned companies are reasonably common. Average income is an impressive 102,184 Lats, but there is a significant disparity between incomes, with the richest 10% of citizens earning 315,030 per year while the poor average 25,588, a ratio of 12.3 to 1.

Teddy bears and pajamas have replaced briefcases and suits in Latvijas Otra Republika's offices, people are arrested for looking too sternly at whales, worrywarts have started advocating for a paint ban, and pharmacists increasingly claim they are morally obligated to take long lunches. Crime, especially youth-related, is totally unknown, thanks to a well-funded police force and progressive social policies in education and welfare. Latvijas Otra Republika's national animal is the Starkis and its national religion is Dievturiba.

Latvijas Otra Republika is ranked 223,861st in the world and 9th in Historia Novorum for Most Inclusive, scoring 10.47 on the Mandela-Wollstonecraft Non-Discrimination Index.
