Overview Factbook People Government Economy Rank Trend

The Blue World Empire of Lamelandia is a colossal, efficient nation, ruled by Rammus with an even hand, and renowned for its keen interest in outer space, unlimited-speed roads, and smutty television. The hard-nosed, hard-working, democratic, cheerful population of 6.46 billion Lamelandians have some civil rights, but not too many, enjoy the freedom to spend their money however they like, to a point, and take part in free and open elections, although not too often.

The tiny government is primarily concerned with Education, although Industry, Healthcare, and Administration are also considered important, while Spirituality and Welfare are ignored. It meets to discuss matters of state in the capital city of Alena. The average income tax rate is 3.0%, but much higher for the wealthy.

The frighteningly efficient Lamelandian economy, worth 948 trillion Lemurs a year, is driven almost entirely by the private sector, which is led by the Information Technology industry, with significant contributions from Tourism, Retail, and Automobile Manufacturing. Average income is an impressive 146,762 Lemurs, and evenly distributed, with the richest citizens earning only 3.0 times as much as the poorest.

People seem disproportionately distraught when told a museum has a phones-off policy, major internet servers have acquired citizenship, five-year-olds chanting "Little Miss Muffet" are accused of bullying arachnophobes, and the art of conversation has been rediscovered. Crime, especially youth-related, is a major problem, with the police force struggling against a lack of funding and a high mortality rate. Lamelandia's national animal is the Human, which frolics freely in the nation's many lush forests, and its national religion is derpism.

Lamelandia is ranked 145,975th in the world and 7,294th in The North Pacific for Largest Mining Sector, scoring -17.89 on the Blue Sky Asbestos Index.
