The Imperial Capitalist Republic of Kyundao is a massive, safe nation, ruled by Emperor Sung with an iron fist, and remarkable for its strictly enforced bedtime, frequent executions, and spontaneously combusting cars. The hard-nosed, hard-working, cynical population of 1.905 billion Kyundaoans are ruled with an iron fist by the corrupt, dictatorship government, which oppresses anyone who isn't on the board of a Fortune 500 company. Large corporations tend to be above the law, and use their financial clout to gain ever-increasing government benefits at the expense of the poor and unemployed.

The relatively small, corrupt, moralistic, pro-business government juggles the competing demands of Defense, Law & Order, and Industry. It meets to discuss matters of state in the capital city of New Kyundao City. Citizens pay a flat income tax of 9.6%.

The frighteningly efficient Kyundaoan economy, worth 224 trillion Won a year, is broadly diversified and dominated by the Arms Manufacturing industry, with significant contributions from Retail, Information Technology, and Beef-Based Agriculture. Average income is an impressive 117,602 Won, but there is an enormous disparity between incomes, with the richest 10% of citizens earning 713,129 per year while the poor average 8,644, a ratio of 82.5 to 1.

Small shoes often wash up on the beach, a formerly quiet little town is now booming as both a cult centre and a tourist attraction, the "swords to plowshares" policy has created a generation of farmers that can kill a yak from 200 yards away, and parents who refuse to vaccinate their children are given a short jail sentence. Crime, especially youth-related, is totally unknown, thanks to a well-funded police force. Kyundao's national animal is the Lagoline, which teeters on the brink of extinction due to widespread deforestation, and its national religion is Buddhism.

Kyundao is ranked 219,764th in the world and 8,351st in the South Pacific for Most Popular Tourist Destinations, with 16.37 Tourists Per Hour.
