II. Energy

While most other contemporary polities rely predominantly on nuclear fusion to meet their energy needs, with underdeveloped polities such as the Bastion resorting instead to fission power and geographically convenient renewable sources, Khoronzon is wholly unique in the usage of its proprietary mode of power generation known as noetic obliteration, which constitutes the vast majority of its energy production while being supplemented by hydroelectricity, wind power, and solar power. Based on the conversion of sophont nooi into usable energy, noetic obliteration as currently practiced within the Supremacy involves using feed-thralls, and occasionally "waste" citizens such as irreformable criminals and dementia sufferers, as fuel for power plants, and subjecting them to an altered form of phylaxolysis in which the nous is not only released, but destroyed, burning up in a flare of energy that is then stored for distribution across the grid.

IV. Agriculture

Despite its rather large territory, Khoronzon possesses a relative dearth of arable land, and its climate is ill-suited for the cultivation of crops and livestock - while, centuries ago, its land may have supported substantial agriculture, such conditions had been worn away even prior to its inception through worldwide environmental decline, which had since been locally exacerbated through the devastation wrought by the First and Second Plague Wars. As such, with a population numbering multiple billions and no food imports, compact, sheltered, and advanced farming measures are necessary to feed so many mouths, particularly given that Khoronzonites are notably more nutritionally demanding than baseline humans. Consequently, the entirety of Khoronzon's agricultural production is based in indoor vertical farms, making extensive use of hydroponics, aquaculture, and cellular agriculture to supply large quantities of food within its highly populated cities while taking up minimal space and resources.

The species repertoire used by Khoronzonite agriculture is wholly made up of organisms that have been genetically engineered to varying degrees for the sake of maximising nutritional value and agricultural efficiency, carefully chosen and bred to thrive in the requisite environment and meet the nutritional needs of the demanding populace. Fish, shellfish, rice, and algae make up the staples of Khoronzonite food, while items less compatible with the Supremacy's agricultural methods such as red meat and arboreal fruits are either grown from stem cells, transplanted into organisms more suited to farming conditions, or simply excluded from food production.

VII. Trade

Officially, Khoronzon does not engage in foreign trade - it exchanges no goods or currency with any other states, pursuing an autarkic policy compounded by the refusal of foreign governments to form any economic associations with the Supremacy. This does not, however, preclude more covert economic dealings with non-state actors, be they "legitimate" businesses or otherwise; such dealings, while typically operating under several layers of obfuscation, form the entirety of Khoronzon's external economic activity, serving primarily to cover any internal deficiencies the state may be facing while additionally disseminating Khoronzonite operatives and interests into foreign economic and organised criminal spheres.

Owing to its explicitly business-dominated political system, lack of any real centralised governmental apparatus, and societal disconnect from the rest of the world due to its prevailing ideology of transhumanist elitism, the Eastern Sea Coalition serves, in the above sense, as Khoronzon's dominant "trading partner", being the final destination for most of its international supply chain and harbouring its middle-man front organisations in relative safety. The Souya Strait and Chishima Islands, the ESC's main maritime borders with the Supremacy, are thus the world's most active zones of civilian traffic between Khoronzon and external polities, with cargo passing through the ESC frequently being transferred through these routes onto the Khoronzonite mainland, typically via purpose-designed submersible freight ROVs to avoid unwanted attention.
