The Sovereign Kingdom of Katinea, commonly called Katinea, is a Constitutional Monarchy in Northern Azean. It is bordered on the South by Rinaera, on the southeast by Alkansha, and the east by the Ceres Ocean. It also shares a Close Sea Border with the Endusian Islands and Aklya in the Northeast. Katinea covers unknown square kilometers and has has an estimated population of 150 Million. Katinea comprises of 9 States, 3 Territories, 2 Independant Native States and one Royal Dependancy.
Katinea is one of the Most Powerful Countries in the World and has lots of World Influence, Being a Member of the World Defence Organisation, and the Order of Sovereign Nations, Aswell as ALKAER. It is also the Founder of the ALPS (Azeanian League for Prosperity and Security).
Etymology
The name Katinea Comes from the Ancient name for the region, Ketenya, Which means "Land where the Sun Sets". It also comes from the Ancient Tinskra Tribes, who are the ancestors to Modern Katineans.
Katinea is located on the ketyn Peninsula, a Large Penisula in the North of the Azeanian Continent. The North of Katinea is mainly lowlands, With Forests and Plains making up most of the land. Far Northern Katinea is a Tundra, With frequent snow, but is still inhabitable. The South of Katinea is more Mountainous, with the Kålon Mountain Range on the Rinaeran Border being the Highest Point in Katinea, with Mount Örn reaching 250 km Altitude. In the Far South of Katinea, far disconnected from its mainland, is the Cerenian Archapelago, the Eastern Half being part of Katinea as the Kërenska Republik.

Katinea is a Founding Member of the World Defence Organisation (WDO), Joining the alliance when it was Created in 1950. It has remained an Active Member of the Alliance, and one of it's strongest Military Powers. Katinea is also the Founder of the Azeanian League for Prosperity and Security, with Chancellor Järnefelt acting as the Incumbent Chairman of the Alliance. Katinea is also a Member of the Global United Nations, holding a Seat in the GUN Security Council. Katinea is Active in Global Trade and Politics, being the one of the World Leaders in the Shipping, Automotive and Defence Industries.
Katinea maintains Positive Relations with many Western Democracies, Especially Allenia, Endusia, Erunia, Espin and Zyvsteska, among other Countries in the WDO and ALPS Alliances. Katinea's primary opponent is the former Imperial Rinaeran Dynasty, now the People's Republic of [East] Rinaera. Katinea also has Hostile Relations with Yanekistan, Iranestine, Qari and Varronia.

The Royal Katinean Defence Forces (Swedish: Kungliga Katinska försvarsmakten) are the Official Armed Forces of Katinea, as Declared by the Constitution of the Sovereign Kingdom of Katinea. The RKDF consists of the Royal Katinean Maritime Defence Force, The Royal Katinean Air Defence Force, The Royal Katinean Ground Defence Force, The Royal Katinean Coast Guard and the Royal Katinean Gendarmerie.
