The Patriarchy of Japhetia is a massive, efficient nation, ruled by Dodaneus with a fair hand, and notable for its pith helmet sales, prohibition of alcohol, and unlimited-speed roads. The hard-nosed, hard-working, democratic, humorless, devout population of 2.449 billion Japhetians are known throughout the region for their efficiency and work ethic, as well as their general suspicion of leisure.

The relatively small, corrupt government prioritizes Defense, although Industry, Education, and Law & Order are also considered important, while Social Policy and International Aid are ignored. It meets to discuss matters of state in the capital city of Alba. Citizens pay a flat income tax of 8.2%.

The frighteningly efficient Japhetian economy, worth 469 trillion Denarii a year, is broadly diversified and dominated by the Arms Manufacturing industry, with significant contributions from Information Technology, Retail, and Tourism. Black market activity is extensive. Average income is an impressive 191,578 Denarii, but there is a significant disparity between incomes, with the richest 10% of citizens earning 597,973 per year while the poor average 47,126, a ratio of 12.7 to 1.

Naturists are jailed regularly for indecent exposure, the police double as repo men, the military maintains a fierce arsenal of 'Cure Missiles', and the volume of paperwork used to complete a single environmental assessment defeats the purpose. Crime is a problem, with the police force struggling against a lack of funding and a high mortality rate. Japhetia's national animal is the Eagle, which is also the nation's favorite main course, and its national religion is Christianity and Japhetic Paganism.

Japhetia is ranked 27,269th in the world and 5th in Lands of Myth for Most Developed, scoring 68.91 on the Human Development Index.
