The United Revolutionary States of Janpia is a massive, orderly nation, ruled by Yorischa Juneschen with an iron fist, and remarkable for its museums and concert halls, digital currency, and state-planned economy. The hard-nosed, cynical population of 1.723 billion Janpians are ruled with an iron fist by the dictatorship government, which ensures that no-one outside the party gets too rich. In their personal lives, however, citizens are relatively unoppressed; it remains to be seen whether this is because the government genuinely cares about its people, or if it hasn't gotten around to stamping out civil rights yet.

The large, corrupt government juggles the competing demands of Defense, Education, and Law & Order. It meets to discuss matters of state in the capital city of Kalingrad City. The average income tax rate is 94.6%.

The frighteningly efficient Janpian economy, worth 302 trillion JPS a year, is driven entirely by a combination of government and state-owned industry, with private enterprise illegal. The industrial sector, which is broadly diversified, is led by the Arms Manufacturing industry, with major contributions from Information Technology, Tourism, and Beef-Based Agriculture. Average income is an impressive 175,489 JPS, and distributed extremely evenly, with little difference between the richest and poorest citizens.

People seem disproportionately distraught when told a museum has a phones-off policy, leather-clad individuals can be seen walking their slaves in public parks, nude art is becoming wildly popular, and the "Underwear of Women in Power" issue of The Kalingrad City Times is sold out. Crime, especially youth-related, is totally unknown, thanks to a well-funded police force and progressive social policies in education and welfare. Janpia's national animal is the Raven, which is also the nation's favorite main course.

Janpia is ranked 266,542nd in the world and 1,881st in The Communist Bloc for Highest Crime Rates, with 1.48 crimes per hour.
