Grudaidh Special Forces - Info Page
The Vortex are the elite special forces of Iarann Grudaidh, they specialize in anti-terror, manhunts and covert operations. Due to this only a select few of their operations are known. The Vortex was founded in 1880 to prevent invasion from New crossford troops during the Grudaidh-Crossford war in which Iarann Grudaidh won and successfully destroyed the nation's government, this was their first ever operation and was known as "Operation: Phantom". Their name originated as during the Grudaidh Crossford war, these troops were described as shadows, hidden in plain sight. Members are picked annually by who performs the best in combat, all troops undergo physc and advanced lie detector tests in order to determine if they're fit to serve under Vortex, making it almost impossible for the average person to get in. In 2020 it was announced that Vortex would work as defence forces and that another Special Forces group known as the Specialized Assault Unit would be formed.
