Commonwealth Realms and Territories
A Commonwealth realm is one of 12 sovereign states that are members of the Commonwealth of Gyflada, who have King Leonardo II as their reigning monarch and have the same royal line of succession. The Statute of Lioni 1896 provided for the then Dominions—named therein as Lavello, Venosa, Melfie, Otranto, Lecce, Lioni, Siderno, Staletti, Liosia, Leuctra—to have full or nearly full legislative independence as equal members of the Commonwealth of Gyflada, having with Edom, one person as the sovereign of each respectively. By the early 1950s, in order to reflect the equality between the countries in that group, each (including Edom) of them became to be known as a Commonwealth Realm. The principle was applied to other countries as they became Commonwealth realms, having sovereign status granted directly. The phrase Commonwealth Realm, though used officially, is not a legal term.

As with the sovereign, a single royal family is shared by the Commonwealth realms. Still, it is frequently referred to in a casual fashion as the Edomite Royal Family, sometimes causing conflict with official national titles. Though there is no strict legal or formal definition of who is or is not a member of the Royal Family, the group is loosely defined as the extended family of the Monarch and these persons constitute the apex of a modern royal court. Recent discussions have taken place to allow the Monarch to define who is a member of the royal family and in April 2020 the Commonwealth Realms passed the Royal Prerogative to Determine Royalty and the Royal Family Act; officially endorsing the powers of the Monarch to determine the makeup of the royal family.
Members of the Royal Family, either as representatives of the monarch or as part of their own charitable endeavours, regularly perform public duties at hundreds of events throughout the 12 realms each year, funded in the same way as the monarch's similar execution of his or her ceremonial role. Their work, which is all formally recorded in the Court Circular, draws public attention to amicable relations within and between the nations of the Commonwealth and beyond; the members of the Royal Family draw enormous media coverage in the form of photographic, written, and televised commentary on not only their activities and public roles, but also family relationships, rites of passage, personalities, attire, and behaviour.
Former Members of the Commonwealth
Country | Monarch | Devolved Leader | Edomite Head of Government | Membership |
Athinia | Leonardo II | Francesca Testini | Chancellor Velia Cociarelli | 1896-2015 |
Cyprat | Leonardo II | Alfredo Nemto | Chancellor Velia Cociarelli | 1896-2015 |
Athinia and Cyprat are countries that are a part of the Kingdom of Edom. In 2015 both countries voted to integrate into Edom with devolved administrations. They both have limited self-government within the Kingdom, as well as representation in the Senate of Edom. Executive and legislative powers respectively have been devolved to the Athinia Government and Athinia National Assembly and Cyprat Government and Cyprat National Assembly, respectively. The Edomite Senate retains control over reserved matters including taxes, social security, defence, international relations and broadcasting. The respective National Assemblies has legislative authority for all other areas, as well as a limited power to vary income tax.
The respective National Assemblies can give legislative consent over devolved matters back to the Edomite Senate by passing a Legislative Consent Motion if Edomite-wide legislation is considered more appropriate for a certain issue.
