The United Socialist States of Greater Soviet Federation is a huge, efficient nation, remarkable for its state-planned economy, infamous sell-swords, and stringent health and safety legislation. The hard-nosed population of 675 million Greater Soviet Federationians are fiercely patriotic and enjoy great social equality; they tend to view other, more capitalist countries as somewhat immoral and corrupt.

The large government juggles the competing demands of Defense, Industry, and Education. It meets to discuss matters of state in the capital city of Moscow. The average income tax rate is 53.0%, and even higher for the wealthy.

The powerhouse Greater Soviet Federationian economy, worth 54.1 trillion Rubles a year, is driven entirely by a combination of government and state-owned industry, with private enterprise illegal. However, for those in the know, there is a slick, highly efficient, broadly diversified black market in Arms Manufacturing, Information Technology, Beef-Based Agriculture, and Retail. The private sector mostly consists of enterprising ten-year-olds selling lemonade on the sidewalk, but the government is looking at stamping this out. Average income is 80,100 Rubles, and distributed extremely evenly, with little difference between the richest and poorest citizens.

Foreign leaders who don't applaud Leader's speeches are regarded as enemies of Greater Soviet Federation, Greater Soviet Federation's heavy congestion charges are the bane of motorists' lives, space shuttles are lying silent on the runway till the Space Agency can work out how to fit a creche and a meditation room into their next spacecraft, and the government denies any involvement in the release of the Hot Load computer virus. Crime, especially youth-related, is totally unknown, thanks to a well-funded police force and progressive social policies in education and welfare. Greater Soviet Federation's national animal is the Polar bear, which is also the nation's favorite main course.

Greater Soviet Federation is ranked 32,365th in the world and 5th in Odessa Accords for Most Advanced Public Transport, scoring 1,805.06 on the Societal Mobility Rating.
