The United States of Greater Somalia is a gargantuan, safe nation, ruled by Mareexaan with a fair hand, and remarkable for its national health service, state-planned economy, and irreverence towards religion. The hard-nosed, democratic, humorless population of 32.735 billion Somalis are free to do what they want with their own bodies, and vote for whomever they like in elections; if they go into business, however, they are regulated to within an inch of their lives.

The relatively small, socially-minded government prioritizes Education, with Environment, Healthcare, and Industry also on the agenda, while Defense and Spirituality aren't funded at all. It meets to discuss matters of state in the capital city of Mogadishu. The average income tax rate is 90.3%, and even higher for the wealthy.

The frighteningly efficient Somali economy, worth an astonishing 16,297 trillion Shillings a year, is driven entirely by a combination of government and state-owned industry, with private enterprise illegal. The industrial sector, which is quite specialized, is led by the Information Technology industry, with major contributions from Tourism, Book Publishing, and Cheese Exports. Average income is an amazing 497,873 Shillings, and distributed extremely evenly, with practically no difference between the richest and poorest citizens.

Employers are finding it hard to screen candidates now that everyone gets A grades in their exams, parents who refuse to vaccinate their children are given a short jail sentence, children are terrified that the 'flying police monster' will come to take them away in the night, and the best way to be heard in politics is to speak softly and carry a big comedy prop. Crime is totally unknown. Greater Somalia's national animal is the lion, which frolics freely in the nation's many lush forests, and its national religion is none.

Greater Somalia is ranked 145,148th in the world and 5,324th in The East Pacific for Lowest Overall Tax Burden, scoring -290.41 on the Hayek Index.
