The Grand Council of Greater Georginiana is a colossal, socially progressive nation, ruled by The Blue Party with an even hand, and remarkable for its complete lack of prisons, daily referendums, and free-roaming dinosaurs. The hard-nosed, hard-working, democratic, devout population of 5.36 billion Georgians have some civil rights, but not too many, enjoy the freedom to spend their money however they like, to a point, and take part in free and open elections, although not too often.

The medium-sized, corrupt government juggles the competing demands of Defense, Industry, and Education. It meets to discuss matters of state in the capital city of New Atlanta. The average income tax rate is 52.3%, and even higher for the wealthy.

The frighteningly efficient Georgian economy, worth 905 trillion Dollars a year, is broadly diversified and led by the Arms Manufacturing industry, with significant contributions from Retail, Information Technology, and Gambling. Black market activity is rampant. State-owned companies are reasonably common. Average income is an impressive 168,928 Dollars, and distributed extremely evenly, with little difference between the richest and poorest citizens.

Racial and religious segregation has become rife as the various groups are loath to mingle, the military has forsaken terrestrial warfare, political scientists despair as the national mascot election eclipses all others in voter enthusiasm, and the entire entry for Greater Georginiana in the Hitchhiker's Guide to the World reads 'mostly harmless'. Crime, especially youth-related, is moderate, perhaps because of the country's complete lack of prisons. Greater Georginiana's national animal is the Pecan Hummer, which teeters on the brink of extinction due to widespread deforestation, and its national religion is Secular with Protestant Majority.

Greater Georginiana is ranked 192,053rd in the world and 13th in Grand Ole Republic for Lowest Crime Rates, with 55.57 law-abiding acts per hour.
