The Rise of Grand Mecklenburg.
This factbook will start small, but gradually expand. Here is a brief summary of the story of the independent state of Grand Mecklenburg. After the events of Fireball Day, aka Doomsday, the Sixth of July, 2013, Mecklenburg, like other German states, was briefly thrown into confusion and chaos. Gradually, at least for a while, it was absorbed into the rising, revived East German state ruled by a leftist coalition of Gramscians, Luxemburgists, Leninists, and other kinds of socialist, Marxist, and other leftist/collectivist factions. For a time, there was an attempt by Mecklenburgers to adapt to life under a new Communist regime, but as the ruling coalition dissolved on the basis of political divisions, and as increasing political violence emerged between the factions, the Mecklenburgers had enough. They seceded from the new East Germany and formed their own state, one likely to be stabler than that of the now disunited Left factions engaged in a civil war with each other. This is currently under a provisional government still finding its feet, so time will tell what could follow. It is hoped that the new society and state that emerges will be less ideological and more pragmatic, if nothing else.
So far, they're off to a reasonable start.
