The First Empire of Gonhog is a massive, efficient nation, ruled by President Benjamin Moore with an even hand, and notable for its ubiquitous missile silos, complete lack of prisons, and irreverence towards religion. The hard-nosed, hard-working, democratic, humorless population of 2.303 billion Gonhogians have some civil rights, but not too many, enjoy the freedom to spend their money however they like, to a point, and take part in free and open elections, although not too often.

The medium-sized, corrupt government is primarily concerned with Defense, although Law & Order, Industry, and Administration are also considered important, while Spirituality and International Aid aren't funded at all. It meets to discuss matters of state in the capital city of Jaken City. Citizens pay a flat income tax of 48.3%.

The frighteningly efficient Gonhogian economy, worth 407 trillion Gonians a year, is broadly diversified and led by the Arms Manufacturing industry, with major contributions from Retail, Information Technology, and Uranium Mining. Black market activity is rampant. Average income is an impressive 177,048 Gonians, with the richest citizens earning 9.4 times as much as the poorest.

Chocolate in Gonhog has its flavour enhanced by the salty tears of enslaved factory workers, behind every local dictator is a Gonhogian advisor whispering in their ear, police detectives carry phrenology calipers as part of their standard kit, and voting for pro-Bigtopian candidates is voluntary. Crime, especially youth-related, is totally unknown, thanks to a capable police force and progressive social policies in education and welfare. Gonhog's national animal is the Hon Bird, which teeters on the brink of extinction due to toxic air pollution.

Gonhog is ranked 68,083rd in the world and 42nd in International Democratic Union for Largest Pizza Delivery Sector, scoring 1,524.77 on the Pepperoni Propulsion Productivity Index.
