Frokolia: Unions and Industry Federations

[This information is for IC use only.]
Government Hierarchy

All government entities in Frokolia are classified as Unions, even if their name does not
imply that they are. They are made up of workers, citizens and elected politicians, and are
all split between diplomatic and domestic councils. All governments have the ability to oversee
each other's laws and policies.

National Union of Frokolia
The National Union of Frokolia (NUF) is Frokolia's official form of government, and acts similarly
to a parliament. The NUF is split between the Union Council (UC) and the People's Council (PC).
The UC primarily deals with foreign policy and relations, and votes to declare war, among various
other roles. The PC practically only deals with domestic policy, as it represents the people of the
Union. The UC and PC cooperate to manage federal laws.

State Unions
The State Unions (STU) are the separate governments of Frokolia's provinces.
As Frokolia is a federal state, the PVUs have a good deal of autonomy, and are given
the ability to write laws and enact policies that apply to their specific province. The VVCs are
split between the State Council (STC) and the Citizen's Council (CC). The STC primarily
cooperates with other STCs, while the CC primarily deals with state public policy.

Regional Syndicates
The Regional Syndicates (RSY) primarily manage their regional police departments
and cooperate with other RSYs within their province. Each RSY is split between the Regional
Council (RC) and the Citizen's Council (abbreviated as RCC to avoid confusion with state
CCs). The RC and RCC perform the same tasks as the STCs and CCs.

Industry Federations

Frokolia's economy is run not by the public nor the state, but is instead managed entirely
by syndicates called Industry Federations. The Industry Federations are made up of the workers
of the Union, who play a major part in the maintaining Frokolian syndicalism and developing
the Frokolian economy. Each industry has its own federation, such as finance and petroleum.
The main role of Industry Federations is to oversee performances of their workers throughout
the nation and provinces and manage laws regarding their industry. The IFs are all grouped into
national, state, and regional organizations, known as National, State, and Regional
Industrial Organizations (NIO/SIO/RIO). Two examples include the National Railroad
Industry Organization and the Schlesien Railroad Industry Organization (Schlesien is an
autonomous republic, though functions as a state). The IOs allow representation of each industry in
the Union, their state, and their region. Please remember that the Industry Federations, Industrial
Organizations, and the Federations listed below are all different entities. The Federations below
primarily deal with the economy itself, the IFs manage their respective industries, and the IOs allow
industrial representation in both the Federations and the Unions.

National Federation of Frokolian Industry
The National Federation of Frokolian Industry (NFFI) oversees Frokolia's economic performance
as a nation, manages trade with other nations, and negotiates between separate Industry
Federations and the SIOs. It is also able to make slight alterations to how certain industries are
run, such as railroad scheduling. The NFFI is also responsible for Frokolia's economic policies.

State Federations of Industry
The State Federations of Industry (SFI) are also tasked with overseeing the economic
performance of their respective state, city or republic. The SFIs also have the ability to make alterations
to select industries, albeit not all of what the NFFI is able to. The SFIs, however, enjoy some advantages
that the NFFI does not.

Regional Industrial Federations
The Regional Industrial Federations (RIF), like the SFIs and NFFI, are tasked with tracking overall
economic performance of their respective region. The RIFs are also responsible with managing and
overseeing construction of airports, and developing cities and towns. They also often cooperate to
link forms of transportation such as roads and railways. RIFs must both agree to link their roads or
railways in order to have them linked at all. This helps create more connections via transport, while
also potentially limiting creation of roads or railways in questionable areas.
