Hello. This is a message from the National Council of Atlanta. We apologize for the interruption, but we've started to receive disturbing reports from across the world. What was once thought to be fiction has manifested into a dark reality. Going back by centuries before being popularized in the 1960s, zombies had been the subject of myth, originating in the Caribbean when it was but a colony of Spain and then France. Enslaved Africans, specifically in Haiti, had come to believe that if they were to end their own lives rather than die in Africa, they would become zombies. This belief manifested due to fearmongering that was brough to life by slave drivers and/or voodoo priests in order to ensure that the slaves would not commit suicide. Eventually, the concept of zombies would manifest itself into the form we're more familiar with in the 1960s after being popularized by various forms of media, especially television. Today however, all of these myths that brought the idea to life are now disproven, and the fun concept that was brought to life in the 1960s is no longer fun in the slightest.This next section is a report from Canada just before the went on lockdown.
We've come to learn that Russia, China, and North Korea were developing a virus originally intended to be used as a weapon against their enemies, and with recent information, we've learned that COVID-19 might've been a prototype of this virus they were developing. Russia seems to have used this virus as a weapon in Ukraine. How they used it is currently unknown to us, but it's likely they utilized it in the form of bombs or ammunition. While the virus had proven useful for a while, bodies mysteriously went missing. Civilians went missing, soldiers went missing, and pilots who were highly trained on both sides stopped fighting and would crash their planes in ways that couldn't have possibly been accidents. Then came reports of people wandering around in the forests.These were the people that went missing.
The virus would then spread out into Belarus, Moldova, Georgia, and the entirety of Eastern Europe would soon put itself on lockdown. Martial law was put into effect. The virus then started spreading deeper into Europe. The moment the virus escaped Europe, it was at this point that the entire world was being threatened. For now, we have taken up leadership in NATO. Our disagreements with Russia and her allies have been put aside for now. We've decided on a truce in order to combat this virus together. China has ordered that a prototype of a cure they were also developing in the case that an event like COVID-19 occur again be carefully shipped across the world. At the moment the prototype is incomplete, so for now everyone who receives it will need to do their own research in order to ensure a safe and effective cure.
To our neighbor to the south, or perhaps neighbors now considering the current situation, we wish you the best of luck. Our message goes out to everyone across the world, including you. We've sent this cure prototype to New England, Cascadia, and the Socialist Union of America so it can be distributed across the former territories of the United States. We are aware that the fighting will likely continue, but at times like this we must stand united.
This may be one of the most important moments in our history. Until the crisis is resolved, there will be no further communication from us. We wish everyone the best of luck.

We've closed our border with the SUA and Florida. Confederate and Federal troops have started to retreat from the frontlines. We expect the east to be hit harder than the west due to the difference in population density. We forbid citizens from attempting to leave Azrelia while the crisis is still ongoing. The Revolution will not resume until the crisis is over. Our borders will not reopen until the crisis is over. We cannot stop anyone from attempting to leave through the Confederation or what remains of the United States, but for anyone who attempts to do so during this time of crisis, you are putting your life at risk.
Once again, the Revolution will not resume until the crisis is over.'Til death do us part.
