The Empire of Francomia is a massive, environmentally stunning nation, ruled by Her Imperial Majesty Empress Tatiana with an iron fist, and notable for its infamous sell-swords, punitive income tax rates, and stringent health and safety legislation. The hard-nosed, cynical, devout population of 3.381 billion Francomians are ruled without fear or favor by a psychotic dictator, who outlaws just about everything and refers to the populace as "my little playthings."

The large, corrupt government juggles the competing demands of Education, Administration, and Law & Order. It meets to discuss matters of state in the capital city of New Versailles. The average income tax rate is 98.2%.

The frighteningly efficient Francomian economy, worth 674 trillion Lanimen a year, is led by the Information Technology industry, with major contributions from Tourism, Arms Manufacturing, and Book Publishing. State-owned companies are common. Average income is an impressive 199,433 Lanimen, and distributed extremely evenly, with little difference between the richest and poorest citizens.

Any citizen who cries is immediately assigned a psychiatrist, lifeguards are more concerned with watching for sharks than struggling swimmers, the nation's most "productive" diamond mine hasn't been operational for seven months, and workers can choose whether they prefer offices that smell of pungent body odor or whale vomit. Crime, especially youth-related, is totally unknown, thanks to a well-funded police force and progressive social policies in education and welfare. Francomia's national animal is the Lion, which is also the nation's favorite main course, and its national religion is Imperialism.

Francomia is ranked 176,701st in the world and 360th in The Land of Kings and Emperors for Highest Unexpected Death Rate, scoring 16.73 on the Bus Surprisal Index.
