Fatatatutti's military is completely separate from the government and is responsible only to the people directly. It is funded entirely by corporate and public donations, including bake sales. Just one initiative, the Doughnut-a-Day program, has the potential to raise several billion dollars every day or more than a trillion dollars a year.

The Army and Navy are separate and independent organizations, each directed by its own council of high-ranking officers. Historically, cooperation between the branches has been good.

The Ministry of Defense exists solely as a liaison between Parliament and the military. Both the Army and the Navy have liaison officers in the Ministry through whom all communication with the Minister is done.
