The United Socialist States of Dundalgan is a massive, genial nation, ruled by General Secretar Molly Kramer with an iron fist, and notable for its compulsory military service, state-planned economy, and stringent health and safety legislation. The cynical population of 2.7 billion Dundalganians are ruled with an iron fist by the dictatorship government, which ensures that no-one outside the party gets too rich. In their personal lives, however, citizens are relatively unoppressed; it remains to be seen whether this is because the government genuinely cares about its people, or if it hasn't gotten around to stamping out civil rights yet.

The large, socially-minded government juggles the competing demands of Administration, Education, and Law & Order. It meets to discuss matters of state in the capital city of Ozliagow. The average income tax rate is 42.8%, but much higher for the wealthy.

The sizeable but sluggish Dundalganian economy, worth 50.5 trillion kronor a year, is driven entirely by a combination of government and state-owned industry, with private enterprise illegal. However, for those in the know, there is a slick, highly efficient black market in Information Technology, Book Publishing, Furniture Restoration, and Woodchip Exports. The private sector mostly consists of enterprising ten-year-olds selling lemonade on the sidewalk, but the government is looking at stamping this out. Average income is 18,718 kronor, and distributed extremely evenly, with practically no difference between the richest and poorest citizens.

Female restaurant chefs are not allowed to have male customers, animal liberationists receive government funding to break into animal research labs, end-of-year production reports state that the revolution is really going with a bang, and babies are a small but significant export. Crime, especially youth-related, is totally unknown, thanks to a well-funded police force and progressive social policies in education and welfare. Dundalgan's national animal is the squirrel and its national religion is Secularism.

Dundalgan is ranked 234,607th in the world and 317th in Oneid for Highest Wealthy Incomes, with 20,522 Standard Monetary Units.
