The Death’s Head Corps is an elite military sub-unit in the Imperial Army. Fully under the command of Supreme Army Command, the Death’s Head Corps is made up of regiments full of experienced soldiers and light infantry battalions. These experienced soldiers have been retrained in the techniques and tactics of infiltration and assault, preparing them for the more aggressive and gruesome fighting on the frontlines.
The common soldier in the Death’s Head Corps is outfitted with the same guns, vehicles, mechs, artillery pieces, and rations like the regular Army, but overtime the Death’s Head Corps was changing, adapting, and embracing the grimness of warfare faster than the army.
Assault troops use pistol-sized grenade launchers
Compared to the regular army, the Death’s Head Corps made broad use of flamethrowers, gas, and demolition vehicles to frighteningly brutal effect, achieving "extremely gruesome results". Reports, especially from the Eastern Front, describe in detail how Imperial assault troops attack their enemies:
The Pioneer Corps is the Imperial Army’s second elite military sub-unit. Regarded as a separate combat arm, the Pioneer Corps are made up of combat engineers, specialist infantry specialized in the construction and destruction of military fortifications. Several units make up the Pioneer Corps and sometimes these units have gain their own notorious reputation.
The Alpine Corps are a German military unit focused on mountain warfare.
Imperial Army Flying Mages and Witches Corps
The Imperial Army Flying Mages and Witches Corps are another elite military force commanded by the Imperial Army.
The Flying Mages and Witches Corps is the only military force that relies heavily on magic to win victories for the Empire. With the combination of magic and the arms race during the Second Industrial Revolution, Imperial scientists and engineers created a new set of tools called Operation Orbs. Combining mana and analog calculation, mages and witches can cast spells using mana to interfere with the world via their operation orbs.
The current and standard-issued operation orb model is the Type 13 Standard Operation Orb, with the maximum power output officially adopted by the Imperial Army is 200 kt.
Regarding what small arms are used by Imperial mages, the Magier/Magierin-Selbstladekarabiner, Modell 1917 is their primary weapon.

The Mounted Cavalry are the cavalry forces in the Imperial Army. They have been around since Germania’s establishment under King Sigmar The Mighty.
Kommando Spezialkräfte ‘Engel’ (English: Special Forces Command ‘Angel’) is an elite, high-readiness special operations forces in the Imperial Fatherland’s Luftstreitkräfte des Kaiserreiches. ‘Engel’ specializes in direct action, special reconnaissance, aerial warfare, infiltration tactics, and shock-and-awe tactics. ‘Engel’ works in tandem with the Flying Mages and Witches Corps, serving as scouts, artillery observers, and assault troops. When its soldiers are not tasked with sabotaging enemy lines, they, serving alongside fighter planes and other mages and witches, are the advance guard in bombing formations, tasked with the objective of defending the bombers as they deliver their explosive payloads needed to bomb the Empire’s enemies.
What makes ‘Engel’ special among its contemporaries is that, unlike the soldiers in the Flying Corps who rely on magical equipment to help them attain flight, the soldiers in this unit do not rely on Operation Orbs, and can fly with just the wings they were born with.
