Cossack Peoples' Space Program
The Cossack People have always wondered what was beyond the cerulean shell of the skies, and looked on in envy when they found out on the Intranet (TM) that the US had landed a man on the moon in 2017. That is why, because of common request, a Cossack space program was started on that momentous day! Wise engineers and physicists came up with a convenient, cheap, and effective launch design! The brave cosmonauts will be strapped onto the L.I.D. (Launch Invention Device) of the design, and the bottom of the B.A.R.R.E.L. (Best Automated running from my mother in law, please send paypal) superheated so that the nitrogen payload is ignited; launching the L.I.D. (PLEASE HELP, SHE HAS A SHOE NOW) and the brave cosmonaut innumerable meters in the air. This contraption has saved millions of dollars in the program, and has further propelled the Republic the standing of other great nations!Вечнасць для Cossacks!

The portion of text above was prior to a technological ascendency that occurred under the Principle Chairman's wish. His mandate sparked an increase in Cossack understanding of the sciences as well as the current golden age for our society.
The enlightenment began with the race to launch an armored vehicle into Low Earth Orbit for orbital bombardment purposes. This was a direct consequence of being insulted by a more "technological" nation, which spurred the FRCP's desire for dominion over space and its articles.
To acheive this, extensive modernization programs were enacted to support the Operations Grozny and Koltsovo. Both were aimed at sending military vehicles to orbit and the moon, respectively, for the purpose of force projection. This way, FRCP can continue developing its space-based infrastructure while under the vigilant guard of the Principle Chairman's will.
Operation Grozny has already been completed, and launched two patriotic comrades, Dmitri Dmitriyevich Dyatlov and Modest Modestovich Myshkin, to operate the orbital bombardment platform. Currently, it can strike any point on Earth with the destructive power of nuclear bomb within reasonable time, give or take the current orbit of the tank.
Operation Koltsovo is a work in progress; it is focused on sending the same weapons system, albeit with increased modifications, to the primary moon to act as a grounded weapons platform. This will allow the FRCP near-dominance over any other tenants on the moon, as well as the ability to fire high-speed projectiles across the Earth's magnetic field with some degree of accuracy, providing a capable substitute to any actual spacecraft that might follow it.
There are think tanks drawn up with the focus of sending a generation ship to nearby star systems.
There are committees seeking to spend large amounts of the defense budget on new mechanically-enhanced spacesuit, an idea was even suggested that firearms be integrated into them as well.
