The Republic of Coronapolis is a huge, efficient nation, remarkable for its smutty television, fear of technology, and spontaneously combusting cars. The hard-nosed, hard-working, cynical population of 723 million Coronapolisians are ruled with an iron fist by the corrupt, dictatorship government, which oppresses anyone who isn't on the board of a Fortune 500 company. Large corporations tend to be above the law, and use their financial clout to gain ever-increasing government benefits at the expense of the poor and unemployed.

The large, corrupt, moralistic, pro-business, well-organized government prioritizes Industry, with Healthcare, Law & Order, and Education also on the agenda, while International Aid and Environment are ignored. Citizens pay a flat income tax of 52.2%.

The frighteningly efficient Coronapolisian economy, worth 71.0 trillion covids a year, is fairly diversified and led by the Retail industry, with major contributions from Information Technology, Woodchip Exports, and Gambling. Black market activity is rampant. Average income is 98,163 covids, but there is a vast disparity between incomes, with the richest 10% of citizens earning 662,009 per year while the poor average 5,404, a ratio of 122 to 1.

Claiming that "my cousin said it was legal" is a common courtroom defense, major corporations receive tax breaks for no apparent reason, children get arrested for floating paper boats on lakes, and major boxing matches are held in government buildings. Crime, especially youth-related, is totally unknown, thanks to a well-funded police force and progressive social policies in education and welfare. Coronapolis's national animal is the Panda, which teeters on the brink of extinction due to widespread deforestation.

Coronapolis is ranked 232,278th in the world and 9,636th in The North Pacific for Least Corrupt Governments, with 47.48 Percentage Of Bribes Refused.
