power grid. Algae tanks are aerated with smoke(flue gas) from Coal, oil, diesel, & methane burning plants. Living Algae eats the carbon and convert half their dry weight to oil as long as it is provided light(sun or grow lights.
An electric pulse into the water suspending the algae, breaks the plant's cell wall and releases the oil. Oil is lighter than water and rises to the top of the tank. It is easily poured off and residual water is filtered out of the oil.
With grow lights Algae tanks are harvested twice a day(24 hours). The bio fuel is burned at the production site to generate additinal electricity. The smoke from this burn is also sent through Algae to electricity process. Smoke that escapes the Algae filters is reaerated back into algae tanks until emmissions are practically eliminated.
