List of Prime Ministers

Since Barboneia became a Unitary Parliamentary Constitutional Commonwealth in 1937, it has had a prime minister every four years. Each prime minister is elected by Kansanedustus, the Barboneian parliament, and is usually the head of whatever political party he or she is a part of. The prime minister acts as Barboneia's head of state, but can not perform any actions without consulting the parliament first. A prime minister's term lasts four years unless they are otherwise taken out of office. A prime minister may only serve for two terms. As of 2016, six prime ministers have been Centrists, three were Social Democrats, one was a member of the National Bloc, four were members of the Barboneian Party, and four were members of the Worker's Party.
