The Kingdom of Bagong Luzon is a massive, cultured nation, ruled by King Ferdinand II with an iron fist, and remarkable for its complete lack of prisons, aversion to nipples, and smutty television. The hard-nosed, hard-working, cynical, humorless, devout population of 4.399 billion New Filipinos are kept under strict control by the oppressive government, which measures its success by the nation's GDP and refers to individual citizens as "human resources."

The medium-sized, corrupt, moralistic, well-organized government juggles the competing demands of Defense, Law & Order, and Administration. It meets to discuss matters of state in the capital city of Manila. Citizens pay a flat income tax of 70.4%.

The frighteningly efficient Filipino economy, worth 869 trillion Pesos a year, is broadly diversified and led by the Arms Manufacturing industry, with major contributions from Information Technology, Book Publishing, and Retail. State-owned companies are reasonably common. Average income is an impressive 197,610 Pesos, but there is a significant disparity between incomes, with the richest 10% of citizens earning 611,100 per year while the poor average 49,266, a ratio of 12.4 to 1.

Powerful x-ray machines used by the Customs Department can see into the homes of nearby residents, officer recruitment and police brutality have reached an all-time high, graverobbers claim they're acting within the interest of 'scientific preservation', and it is considered unpatriotic to learn a foreign language. Crime, especially youth-related, is totally unknown, thanks to a well-funded police force and progressive social policies in education and welfare. Bagong Luzon's national animal is the Carabao, which teeters on the brink of extinction due to widespread deforestation, and its national religion is Roman Catholicism.

Bagong Luzon is ranked 33,616th in the world and 6th in West Pacific for Most Influential, scoring 695 on the Soft Power Disbursement Rating.
