The Most Serene Republic of Aurodil is a huge, socially progressive nation, ruled by Achilleas with a fair hand, and renowned for its rum-swilling pirates, smutty television, and irreverence towards religion. The compassionate, democratic population of 829 million Aurodilians hold their civil and political rights very dear, although the wealthy and those in business tend to be viewed with suspicion.

The relatively small, liberal, outspoken government juggles the competing demands of Education, Industry, and Welfare. It meets to discuss matters of state in the capital city of Oceadom. The average income tax rate is 23.0%, but much higher for the wealthy.

The powerhouse Aurodilian economy, worth 80.1 trillion pieces a year, is broadly diversified and led by the Tourism industry, with major contributions from Information Technology, Beef-Based Agriculture, and Book Publishing. Average income is 96,645 pieces, and distributed extremely evenly, with little difference between the richest and poorest citizens.

Stranded mountaineers can watch livestreamed footage of their rescues, hackers post hourly updates on international summits, posters on 'Aurodilian Values' advise against being proud of Aurodil, and 'The Anti-Government Hour' is a popular programme on many of Aurodil's radio stations. Crime, especially youth-related, is totally unknown. Aurodil's national animal is the dolphin, which frolics freely in the nation's sparkling oceans.

Aurodil is ranked 110,301st in the world and 153rd in Wintreath for Largest Governments, scoring 15.81 on the Bureaucratic Comprehensiveness Rating Scale Index.
