Acricyte Outbreak

In the year 2281, Cyzon Corporation was developing a new bio-weapon prototype, code-name "Acricyte". This biological contaminant had the ability to kill any human, regardless of any countermeasures. Contact was fatal, and death occurred within ten seconds after exposure. Cyzon Corporation had the only available antidote that could prevent Acricyte from affecting the user. Two months after the weapon prototype was produced, a severe incident resulted in a containment breach in one of Cyzon Corporation's labs. The result was 452,000 dead, two cities (New Hyde and Cecir) under lockdown, and over 30 billion credits in damages. After the worst disaster in Arondyte's history, the Containment Act of 2281 was passed by the Elite Council. The Act stated that any biological weapon manufactured within Arondyte must be contained within secure containment labs built by the government, and regulated 24/7 under strict guidelines.
