[OOC] Retconning Act 2021, or Why Some Info are Out-of-Date

OOC - This legislative document is Out-of-Character and from the real-life person currently managing the NationStates nation of Allinburg, known as the Real Interdimensional Being (RIB). This document and notice were written by the RIB.

From time to time, I change the history of Allinburg, sometimes to the extent that it necessitates a retconning of many old factbooks I've written. I created this page to remind users of changes to the history and lore of Allinburg. On a related note, some stuff may not be speedily updated. (Rule of thumb: Most pages from 2016 and earlier are out-of-date.)

The Real Interdimensional Being (RIB)
that controls the NationStates nation of Allinburg,
noticing the many factbooks of years past containing absurd, outdated and illegitimate facts of Allinburg made by themselves,
recognising that some users may mistake the history of Allinburg as including such facts,
deciding to initiate the Mass Retconning of Allinburg, assess and review all documents written by the RIB chronicling all affairs of the nation, and to deem all affected factbooks and relevant information as no longer belonging to the Documental Canon of this Nation,
and determined to rewrite those documents to fit the true history of Allinburg,
hereby exercises its powers to enact the following:

  1. All documents mentioning Hans Otto Georg Hermann Fegelein, colloquially known as “Hermann Fegelein”, “President Hans GOH Fegelein” or “Fegelein”, as the leader of Allinburg shall be retconned, archived and removed from the Documental Canon.

  2. All documents and official communication mentioning any entity that begins with the prefix “Fegel-” as belonging to Allinburg and Fegelein shall be retconned, archived and removed from the Documental Canon.

  3. All documents and official communication mentioning any currency other than the Allinean mark (𝒎), whether “Frappoe”, “Glowstick”, “Sterlin”, “Statlen” or others, as the official currency of Allinburg shall be retconned, archived and removed from the Documental Canon.

  4. All documents and official communication mentioning any species other than the purplehead eagle (Haliaeetus ostrucephalus), as the national animal of Allinburg shall be retconned, archived and removed from the Documental Canon.

  5. All documents and official communication mentioning any religion other than the New Germanic Order of Violet, colloquially known as “Anavioletism”, as the majority Christian denominational group of Allinburg shall be retconned, archived and removed from the Documental Canon.

  6. All other documents and official communication deemed by the RIB to violate the historical continuum of Allinburg may be retconned, archived and removed from the Documental Canon.

  7. All documents that have been formally retconned, archived and removed from the Documental Canon will display the following notice on the beginning of each document:

    OOC - This document, being subject to retroactive continuity in accordance with the RIB Retconning Act 2021, is no longer part of the documental canon of Allinburg and does no longer affect or reflect the history or present situation of Allinburg.

  8. Select documents and official communication containing some content deemed by the RIB to violate the historical continuum of Allinburg may be retconned and edited, but not removed from the Documental Canon. Those documents will display the following notice at the beginning of each document:

    OOC - This document has been retconned and edited in accordance with the RIB Retconning Act 2021.

  9. Unfinished select documents and official communication containing some content deemed by the RIB to violate the historical continuum of Allinburg may be retconned and edited, but not removed from the Documental Canon. Those documents will display the following notice at the beginning of each document:

    OOC - This document is a work-in-progress and is currently not finished.

    This document is currently being retconned and edited in accordance with the RIB Retconning Act 2021.

  10. All documents and official communication that have been retconned, archived and removed from the Documental Canon by the RIB shall be replaced by newly edited material that conforms to the historical continuum of Allinburg.

  11. The RIB reserves the right to keep any document or official communication containing any of the preceding words mentioned.

  12. The RIB reserves the right to modify any part of this legislation at any time.
